About The Position

Siemens Healthineers' Radiopharma Solutions is a global leader in PET (Positron Emission Tomography) radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution. As a Nuclear Pharmacist, you will oversee the production, quality control, and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with pharmacy regulations, cGMP requirements, and radiation safety standards. Working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you will help ensure the safe and timely delivery of products used in advanced diagnostic imaging. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety. This position offers pharmacists an opportunity to develop specialized expertise in Nuclear Pharmacy within a highly regulated healthcare manufacturing environment. Siemens Healthineers provides structured training designed to help licensed pharmacists develop the technical, operational, quality, and regulatory knowledge required to practice Nuclear Pharmacy. Team members work alongside experienced Nuclear Pharmacists while gaining hands-on experience in radiopharmaceutical production, quality control, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist license or ability to obtain licensure in the state of employment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Communicates effectively with a proven ability to interpret information and provide and/or follow complex instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. packages

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacist experience in retail, hospital, clinical, specialty, compounding, or nuclear pharmacy environments
  • Experience following standard operating procedures and regulated workflows
  • Exposure to sterile compounding, laboratory processes, quality systems, or manufacturing environments
  • Interest in learning radiopharmaceutical and theranostic production and Nuclear Pharmacy operations
  • Interest in Chemistry and aseptic techniques

Responsibilities

  • Production of radionuclides
  • Preparation and testing of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory commitments including cGMP, Radiation Safety, Pharmacy Laws, company policies and procedures, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Delivering and ensuring performance of aseptic techniques, including sterility and pyrogen testing per company standard operating procedures
  • Performing and overseeing quality control procedures utilizing analytical equipment and chemical testing methods
  • Maintaining all applicable documentation and records
  • Preparing shipments of radioactive materials according to procedure and licensing authority requirements
  • Providing support in the operation and maintenance of cyclotrons, chemistry modules, quality control equipment, and associated software
  • Serving as the designated pharmacist in charge in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager (PIC), with responsibility for personnel working within the permitted pharmacy area in accordance with state pharmacy laws
  • Leading multiple non-exempt team members and supporting daily operational execution
