In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Nuclear Medicine Technology Assistant is responsible for providing administrative, clinical support, and patient care assistance to the Nuclear Medicine department to promote efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling and documentation, facilitating communication between departments, supporting technologists and nursing staff with patient preparation and transport, maintaining supplies and equipment, and performing clerical functions necessary for daily department operations. The Nuclear Medicine Technology Assistant helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while adhering to departmental policies, infection prevention practices, radiation safety protocols, and the principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public. The position delivers compassionate patient interactions and contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare team. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
