About The Position

Central Texas Heart Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered diagnostic imaging services. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team to perform Lexiscan and treadmill stress tests with SPECT imaging procedures. The technologist will be crossed trained to cover PET CT.

Requirements

Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) certification.
Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and imaging protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
ACLS and CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing Lexiscan and treadmill stress tests and SPECT imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform Lexiscan stress tests, including patient preparation, administration of regadenoson, and monitoring vital signs.
Conduct SPECT imaging studies in accordance with established protocols.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
Monitor and observe patients for adverse reactions during and after procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including radiation safety protocols.
Assist physicians with image acquisition, processing, and interpretation as needed.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Provide coverage for PET CT when necessary.
Provide compassionate, patient-focused care throughout all procedures.
