Responsible for performing patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician. Duties include calculating radioisotope dosages for administration to patients, operating radioscopic equipment, and practicing strict radiation safety. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (Upon hire).
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology (Upon hire).
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Upon hire).
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technologist training program).
