Requirements

Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in related field required
2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
CTNM - State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine all scopes including venipuncture required
Must have one of the following primary certification: NMTCB(CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist OR ARRT(N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology

Responsibilities

Practices at a fully independent level, supporting a high-acuity imaging environment through technical expertise, sound judgment and collaboration with Nuclear Medicine Physicians.
Embedded within a multidisciplinary team committed to diagnostic accuracy, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
Independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing, compounding, administering and quality-testing radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure high-quality imaging through accurate patient identification, appropriate exam selection, proper positioning and protocol completion, while maintaining a safe and compliant environment through adherence to aseptic technique, medication-administration standards, radiation safety practices, equipment maintenance requirements and precise documentation.
