About The Position

Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization's policies, values, and mission. This is an onsite PRN position at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with a schedule of 0.00 hours per pay period (two weeks). Pay is $40.40–$56.56 per hour, dependent on relevant applicant experience. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date. The card must remain valid through 60 days of hire; renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
Ability to use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Review patient history and physician orders, and schedule procedures.
Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to support their understanding and cooperation.
Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations and standards.
Continuously monitor patient condition and report or respond to changes as appropriate.
Prepare equipment and supplies.
Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
Implement safety standards and perform appropriate equipment quality control procedures.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
