About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Tech applies the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. This role is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with shifts typically falling on days/afternoons. Candidates accepting a full-time offer may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, though internal Bon Secours Mercy Health associates are not eligible. Requirements

Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute
State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
1 year of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine experience

Responsibilities

Oversees the procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive materials.
Responsible for scheduling exams and reviewing images to determine diagnostic quality.
Starts and maintains intravenous (IV) access and administers medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
