About The Position
Performs Nuclear Medicine exams and delivers completed exams to Radiologist for interpretation. Complies with state and federal regulations concerning Radioactive Materials.
Requirements
- Completed a program in nuclear medicine
- Communicate well with patients and other departments
- Knowledge of current State and Federal regulations for Radioactive Materials
- Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certification from the ARRT and/or NMTCB, CRT (Nuclear), and a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card
- Basic knowledge of equipment used in Nuclear Medicine such as a Gamma Camera, Dose Calibrator, Survey Meter and other equipment as used in the department
- Basic knowledge of RIS, HIS, and PACS
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nuclear Medicine technologist experience preferred
- New graduates will be considered
