About The Position

Performs Nuclear Medicine exams and delivers completed exams to Radiologist for interpretation. Complies with state and federal regulations concerning Radioactive Materials.

Requirements

  • Completed a program in nuclear medicine
  • Communicate well with patients and other departments
  • Knowledge of current State and Federal regulations for Radioactive Materials
  • Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certification from the ARRT and/or NMTCB, CRT (Nuclear), and a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card
  • Basic knowledge of equipment used in Nuclear Medicine such as a Gamma Camera, Dose Calibrator, Survey Meter and other equipment as used in the department
  • Basic knowledge of RIS, HIS, and PACS
  • Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Nuclear Medicine technologist experience preferred
  • New graduates will be considered
