Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be a vital diagnostic specialist, performing advanced nuclear medicine procedures that utilize radiopharmaceuticals to capture unique functional and molecular images of the human body. You will be instrumental in meticulously preparing, administering, and imaging patients, directly contributing to accurate diagnoses and guiding crucial treatment decisions for a wide range of medical conditions. Every day you will expertly handle and administer various radiopharmaceuticals, utilizing state-of-the-art gamma cameras and SPECT/CT or PET/CT scanners, meticulously positioning patients, tailoring scan protocols to specific clinical needs, and ensuring optimal image acquisition for precise diagnostic interpretation. You will prioritize comprehensive patient screening for safety, conduct thorough patient education on procedure details and radiation safety, and continuously monitor patient comfort throughout the study. To be successful in this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of nuclear medicine physics, radiopharmacy, and cross-sectional anatomy to produce consistently high-quality, diagnostically rich images across a wide array of studies. You will collaborate effectively with nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and referring physicians, providing indispensable diagnostic insights.
