About The Position
This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a PRN (as needed) basis. The technologist will be responsible for operating nuclear medicine equipment, performing quality control, and taking diagnostic scans to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. They will also maintain records and charting for the Nuclear Medicine Department. This role involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens (OSHA Exposure Category A).
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved college with an accredited program for Radiologic Technology with an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Licensed and certified by ARRT.
- Licensed and certified by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Possess a Louisiana license for Radiologic Technologist.
- Possess a Louisiana license for Nuclear Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control procedures.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment.
- Understand procedures correlated with patient care.
- Take diagnostic scans to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury.
- Maintain Nuclear Medicine Department records and charting.
