About The Position

Join the close-knit Nuclear Medicine team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley. Here you will work with dynamic colleagues and a diverse patient population covering Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. We’ll depend on you to handle, prepare, assay, administer and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals. You’ll perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety. You'll maintain records of receipt for all radiopharmaceuticals to ensure compliance with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulations. This is a full-time (Monday through Friday 9am-5pm) position located at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health (NYSDOH)
  • Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and / or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with patients, patient’s families, physicians, and other health care providers while performing Nuclear Medicine exams.
  • Analytical skills in order to evaluate and perform Nuclear Medicine exams.
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Previous experience in Nuclear Cardiology
  • PET Experience
