Nuclear Medicine Technologist
About The Position
Corewell Health is offering up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role. This is a FULL TIME position with DAY SHIFT hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the work schedule is variable, including every 3rd weekend. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. An NMT uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program
- CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- 6 months from date of hire
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
Responsibilities
