The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a variety of complex nuclear medicine imaging and laboratory procedures that require independent judgment and initiative in order to obtain information for use by physicians in diagnosing or treating patient illness. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating technology for new procedures, providing instruction to various staff, and adhering to radiation protection guidelines. The technologist will also be responsible for conducting clinical investigational procedures, troubleshooting technical problems, developing quality assurance parameters, and creating policies and procedures for diagnostic studies. Additionally, they will conduct continuing education programs, supervise staff and students, coordinate planning and scheduling, manage supplies, and consult with physicians to improve procedure quality. The department is hiring for two positions, either as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist, depending on the candidate's qualifications.
