About The Position
This position involves preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies under the direction of a Radiologist. The technologist will utilize various equipment and follow prescribed procedures. A key aspect of the role is delivering excellent customer service, being attentive to patient needs, explaining procedures clearly to reduce anxiety, and fostering trust.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher, required
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
- ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Nuclear Medicine) or (CNMT) (Certified Nuclear Medical Technology) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered by the end of the IEMA temporary license expiration.
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Attention to detail: must possess the ability to meticulously follow protocols and ensure the accuracy in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities
- Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, according to Radiologist’s directions/protocols, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.
- Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice.
- Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
