About The Position
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist of the Nuclear Medicine and/or Molecular Imaging & Therapy departments are a state and nationally registered professionals who possess the required skills and judgment necessary to obtain quality nuclear medicine studies. This position is Per Diem status.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or higher.
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year continuous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- State of California Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) license.
- AHA BLS Certification is required.
- Advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT-N or NMTCB-CNMT Certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor and the Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to perform routine nuclear medicine procedures.
- Educate the patient and/or family about the procedure.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals.
- Position patient for accurate and clear images.
- Provide post-procedure instructions.
- Accurately document all patient information in the appropriate systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
