About The Position

This 13-week staffing contract with a local hospital is looking for a caring and dependable Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Our Nuclear Med Techs enjoy competitive pay, flexible scheduling, bonus opportunities, and professional development.

Requirements

Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) or Nuclear Medicine, RT(NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB): Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
2 years of recent and related experience, as required by facility
Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
Must be able to remain calm under pressure
Proficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordingly
Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility

Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated testing procedures in accordance with safe radiation practices
Prepare and monitor patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
Follow radiation safety and protection protocols
Monitor nuclear medicine procedures to ensure accurate dosage of radiopharmaceuticals
Maintain radiation safety in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Monitor and maintain radiation levels in the testing area
Perform and document routine maintenance on nuclear medicine equipment
