About The Position

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician (NMT) for a PRN, Acute Hospital position. This role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients, performing diagnostic studies as ordered by physicians, processing data, enhancing digital images, and evaluating image quality. The technician will also process images for radiologist review. Requirements

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Associate’s Degree Required
• Graduate of a Program Discipline in Nuclear Medicine Required
• Registry eligible
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Responsibilities

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
• Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
• Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
• Processes the images for radiologist review.
