Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. AND/OR Nuclear Medicine Certification (NMTCB/CNMT)
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-precision diagnostic images by skillfully operating specialized cameras that map radiopharmaceuticals, providing the clarity needed for accurate physician interpretation.
  • Manage the lifecycle of radioactive materials—from ordering and preparation to safe disposal—ensuring every dose is handled with clinical exactness and patient safety in mind.
  • Advocate for patient comfort and safety by accurately selecting technical parameters and positioning patients to ensure a successful, high-quality scan the first time.
  • Lead radiation safety excellence by strictly following protection guidelines, ensuring a secure environment for the patient, yourself, and the entire medical team.
  • Optimize the diagnostic workflow by ensuring the prompt delivery of images and detailed patient histories to digital archives, facilitating faster answers for our patients.
