Nuclear Medicine Tech– Diagnostic Radiology – Perrysburg Medical Center – PRN
About The Position
The Nuclear Medicine Tech applies the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. This role oversees the procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive materials. The Nuclear Medicine Tech is also responsible for scheduling exams and reviewing images to determine diagnostic quality. Additionally, they start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and administer medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
Requirements
- Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Associate's from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- 1 year of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine experience
