About The Position

This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist working day shifts typically between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, with start times ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM depending on departmental needs. The assignment is based at a hospital imaging department and focuses on performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures for adult patients. The technologist will conduct a variety of studies including bone scans, renal imaging, hepatobiliary studies, gastric emptying tests, thyroid imaging, lymphatic imaging, cardiac studies, and parathyroid imaging. The department utilizes advanced imaging equipment including SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT scanners. The technologist may occasionally be required to support imaging services at nearby affiliated facilities when needed. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to provide safe and accurate diagnostic imaging services.

Requirements

  • Current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine or the Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential.
  • A minimum of one to two years of nuclear medicine experience.
  • An Associate’s Degree or certificate from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Attention to patient safety.
  • Ability to work independently within a diagnostic imaging environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EPIC and Merge PACS imaging systems.
  • Familiarity with Siemens imaging equipment.
  • Experience performing SPECT/CT or PET/CT studies.

Responsibilities
