About The Position

The Community Cancer Institute (CCI) is a nationally accredited, world-class outpatient cancer center committed to delivering premier care. This facility features state-of-the-art digital PET/CT scanners and offers flexible scheduling with three 12-hour shifts per week. The role of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Community Health System (CHS) involves practicing at a fully independent level, supporting a high-acuity imaging environment through technical expertise, sound judgment, and collaboration with Nuclear Medicine Physicians. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement. The technologist will independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing, compounding, administering, and quality-testing radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensuring high-quality imaging through accurate patient identification, appropriate exam selection, proper positioning, and protocol completion is crucial, as is maintaining a safe and compliant environment through adherence to aseptic technique, medication-administration standards, radiation safety practices, equipment maintenance requirements, and precise documentation.

Requirements

Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in a related field required.
2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine all scopes including venipuncture required.
Must have one of the following primary certifications: NMTCB(CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist OR ARRT(N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology.
