About The Position

DMS Health Technologies is hiring a PRN Field Service Engineer based in its Sioux Falls, South Dakota office. The position supports medical imaging equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and field change orders. The engineer submits service documentation, responds to customer needs, and helps ensure equipment operates properly and safely. The role requires after-hours call coverage and responses as needed, as well as travel 25–40% of the time. The posting advertises a rate of $90 per hour.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and at least 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and high work standards.
• Customer-oriented attitude; ability to handle differences of opinion tactfully and effectively; excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel 25–40% of the time.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair medical equipment.
• Perform equipment installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and field change orders (FCOs).
• Submit service reports and other required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Respond promptly to customer service needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Consult with staff to ensure equipment functions properly and safely.
• Complete mandatory education in a timely manner and maintain current credentials.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, report or correct safety hazards and unsafe conditions, report injuries promptly, and participate in safety processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Take after-hours calls and respond as necessary.
