About The Position

Jefferson Radiology is recruiting an onsite Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join its growing nuclear medicine and molecular imaging team. The practice uses a hybrid-subspecialty model, allowing radiologists to select a personalized level of nuclear medicine subspecialization, from a primarily nuclear medicine role to a hybrid general radiology and nuclear medicine role. Fellows are encouraged to apply. The position provides onsite coverage for Hartford Hospital, an 867-bed teaching hospital and regional referral center, and covers nuclear medicine and pediatric oncology services for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The work includes general adult and pediatric nuclear medicine, selected nuclear cardiology, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, planar imaging, and radionuclide therapies. The service offers a broad range of imaging, including oncologic PET/CT with newer radiotracers, dementia imaging, and pediatric oncology and thyroid imaging and therapy. The radiologist interprets inpatient and outpatient examinations, provides technical expertise, participates in adult and pediatric tumor boards, and may participate in research through an affiliated cancer center. Candidates comfortable with general radiology interpretation are preferred. The salary range is $600,000, with productivity incentives up to $1,000,000. The role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation determinations may vary based on factors including education, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Requirements

MD or DO.
Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM).
Residency training in an ACGME-accredited radiology program.
Fellowship or residency training in nuclear medicine.
Eligible for Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Authorized User (AU) status.
Connecticut license required.

Responsibilities

Interpret inpatient and outpatient nuclear medicine examinations, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and planar imaging.
Interpret a broad range of adult nuclear medicine studies, including parathyroid, cardiac, renal, thyroid, bone, infection, brain, and hepatobiliary imaging.
Interpret pediatric nuclear medicine examinations, including PET/CT, MIBG SPECT/CT, Meckel’s scans, renal studies, and gastric emptying studies.
Interpret PET/CT examinations, including high-volume oncologic imaging and studies using newer radiotracers.
Provide technical expertise on a variety of nuclear medicine studies and procedures.
Perform radioiodine therapies and PRRT as described in the posting.
Participate in adult and pediatric tumor boards.
Participate in research opportunities involving studies through the affiliated cancer center.
