Work as part of a collaborative health care team, performing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures and PET/CT examinations while supporting patients throughout their imaging experience. This role combines advanced imaging technology, specialized clinical knowledge and hands-on patient care to help produce high-quality diagnostic information that supports timely and effective treatment decisions. Prepare and support patients throughout procedures, operate nuclear medicine, PET/CT and computerized imaging equipment, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, start IVs and administer iodinated contrast, and monitor patients to ensure their comfort and safety. Play an important role in maintaining the quality and safety of the imaging environment through equipment quality control, radiation monitoring and the safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials.
