About The Position

South College is seeking a Nuclear Medicine - Clinical Coordinator - Faculty/Instructor to join their team. This role supports the Department Chair or Program Director with clinical and student placement needs, ensuring compliance with programmatic clinical requirements. The coordinator will establish and assess clinical site partnerships, coordinate and supervise clinical operations, provide student counseling and advising, and maintain student clinical records. They will also plan and schedule student clinical rotations, coordinate evaluations of clinical sites and experiences, and update performance objectives for meaningful clinical learning. The position requires adherence to South College's Commitment to Behavior Standards.

Requirements

Earned master’s degree in radiologic science or related from an accredited academic institution.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience post-certification nuclear medicine technology experience.
Minimum of 2 years of academic appointment with teaching experience in the didactic and/or clinical setting of a nuclear medicine technology program.
Familiarity with JRCNMT accreditation processes.
Curriculum development experience.
Familiarity with planning, assessment, and evaluation processes.
Must hold certification and registration in nuclear medicine technology from a national certification board and license in good standing in the state of hire (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

Support the Department Chair or Program Director with any clinical and student placement or education needs in compliance of the programmatic clinical requirements.
Establish and assess all clinical site partnerships and affiliated agreements on a weekly basis to ensure the program meets current clinical placement student needs, while working to exceed the programmatic clinical placement seat requirements to allow for program growth.
Coordinate, evaluate, and supervise the program’s clinical operations.
Respond in a timely manner to information request from internal and external stakeholders, upholding professional communication standards as defined by the institution.
Provide student counseling and advising, as required.
Maintain real-time student clinical records, including clinical hours and quarterly grades, affiliation agreements, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Maintain and encourage valid evaluation of each student by clinical instructor, facility department managers, licensed professionals.
Plan, coordinate and schedule student clinical rotations to align with curriculum, lesson plans, and program outcomes.
Coordinate evaluations of clinical sites, faculty/student experiences, and/or performance.
Evaluate and update performance objectives to ensure meaningful clinical learning experiences.
