About The Position

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Radiologist to join their growing team. The department provides comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated healthcare system in central Massachusetts. It is the primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School and boasts state-of-the-art imaging equipment, a fully integrated IT infrastructure (EMR EPIC, SECTRA PACS, PS-1), and has been at the forefront of implementing AI algorithms. The department offers numerous opportunities for individual interests in education, health services or basic science research, and AI, supported by a robust Radiology clinical trials office and image processing core labs. The division includes 2 full-time and several part-time faculty. They provide a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services, including SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and theranostics, with current offerings such as FDG, PSMA, DOTATATE, FES, FDG Cardiac PET/CT, and neuroimaging tracers. Areas of expansion include theranostics and cardiac perfusion imaging. Collaboration with colleagues in surgery, oncology, radiation oncology, cardiology, medical subspecialties, and primary care is integral to their practice. The usual work week consists of 4 clinical days and 1 academic day.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine.
  • Fellowship training.
  • ABR/ABNM certification or eligibility required.
  • Must hold a MD or DO degree.
  • Qualify for a Massachusetts license.
  • Will need Authorized User certification on hiring.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and interest in theranostics encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services.
  • Perform SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and theranostics.
  • Utilize FDG, PSMA, DOTATATE, FES, FDG Cardiac PET/CT, and different tracers for neuroimaging.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in surgery, oncology, radiation oncology, cardiology, medical subspecialties, and primary care.
  • Engage in education at the medical student, resident, and fellow levels.
  • Pursue individual interests in health services or basic science research and AI.
