About The Position
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Nuclear Medicine Assistant to join Pima Heart and Vascular in the Tucson, AZ. Responsibilities: Prepares stress rooms for procedures Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts Position patients and equipment Cleans and disinfects instruments Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test Schedule patients for tests Gives injections or treatments Screens telephone calls/emails Preps and perform Treadmill stress tests for patients Monitors NUC/PET schedules to maintain full schedules Start IVs and run nuclear cameras Travel is required between clinics Other related duties may be assigned About Tucson, AZ: Located in Pima county, Tucson is considered the soul of the Sonoran Desert and the flavor of the Southwest, making it a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts. Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required
- Knowledge in medical terminology
- Travel is required between clinics
Nice To Haves
- Cardiac Experience is preferred but not required
