About The Position
Under minimal supervision, performs basic Nuclear Medicine procedures requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. The role requires skill in Nuclear Medicine and completion of established position competencies within the designated introductory period. Other related duties may be assigned. Produces diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment. The position requires taking standby/call. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available based on experience and does not apply to internal applicants.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification.
- Current State of California certification.
- Current ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or Certified Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT).
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
- Assist practitioners with operation of radiation detection equipment.
- Order radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures and prepare them for injection, ingestion, or inhalation.
- Identify radioactive substances to complete procedures.
- Process and file films as needed.
- Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Take standby/call.
