Position Summary and Purpose Provides health care services, applying radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment in accordance with established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient record and files. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and imaging technique. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist complies with guidelines set forth by accrediting bodies. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports the mission of the hospital and department by excellent customer relations skills.
