Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical. Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
  • Understanding of design and function of electrical control systems; ability to troubleshoot and resolve electro-mechanical issues
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical data.
  • Desire to perform hardware design, electro-mechanical fabrication, and software coding.
  • Product development, R&D product evaluation, and product lifecycle evaluation.
  • Demonstration of project management.
  • Ability to obtain a safety clearance for entry into nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
  • Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed.

Benefits

  • Salary: $77,000 - $100,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
