About The Position

Responsible for technical supplier oversight of manufacturing and manufacturing development projects for nuclear instrumentation and controls (I&C) systems and electrical components. The Manufacturing Engineer consults with NuScale design organizations on manufacturing, specifies and gathers product manufacturing requirements—including applicable standards and specifications—and serves as a primary point of contact between design organizations and manufacturing suppliers for technical information and communications. The role applies industry expertise, codes and standards, and regulatory guidance in I&C manufacturing and supply-chain development. The position serves as a technical lead for the I&C Manufacturing Engineering Group and provides mentoring and technical direction to less experienced engineers. It requires at least eight years of full-time engineering experience in development and oversight of manufacturing for nuclear I&C systems and electrical components, including manufacturing development for complex designs, components, or systems in a regulated environment. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred. This is a full-time position. It may be performed remotely within the contiguous United States when the employee lives more than 30 miles from a physical NuScale office; otherwise, the work is performed in office four days per week. Occasional business travel is required, with anticipated travel of 10%–25%. The role requires presence in supplier manufacturing shop environments and familiarity with shop safety requirements and working conditions. The target annual pay range is $124,400–$150,138, with a full range of $111,531–$174,446.
