About The Position

Duke Energy is hiring a Mechanical Systems Engineer for the Plant Engineering–Operations Support Engineering team at Catawba Nuclear Station. The position involves working inside an operating nuclear power plant, including field inspections, walkdowns, engineering support, and occasional outage work, to support the safe and reliable delivery of electricity. At least two days per week are supported onsite at Catawba Nuclear Station after onboarding; other workdays may be performed at home. Overtime is described as infrequent. The role may include Emergency Response Organization responsibilities, including site callouts with a defined response time and an on-call rotation requiring fitness for duty.
