About The Position

Radiant is a startup based in El Segundo, CA, focused on developing the world's first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. Their initial reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed for transportability and long-term operation without refueling. This portable nuclear power solution aims to serve as a replacement for diesel generators, providing essential power for critical facilities like hospitals, data centers, remote locations, and military bases. Radiant utilizes modern software engineering practices to accelerate the development of safe, factory-built microreactors using established materials. Founded in 2020, the company is preparing to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory and plans to commence customer deliveries in 2028. Radiant is looking for a motivated Nuclear Engineer to join their team.
