About The Position

SOSi is seeking a Senior level Nuclear Engineer (Scientific Support) to be part of a unique, multi-discipline team assisting partners to fuse operations and intelligence information to enhance government efforts against current and emerging threats, and counterproliferation efforts. In this role, you will support defense analytic requirements with enhanced scientific and engineering research, as well as reverse engineering analysis. You will also conduct facility and vulnerability assessments on foreign nuclear capabilities. Develop innovative analytic and collection concepts across directorate mission areas, support assessment of new technologies techniques, methods, conduct multi-Intelligence integration, and plan programming budgeting.

Requirements

BA degree in relevant field.
8 years of experience supporting defense analytic requirements with nuclear engineering research.
In lieu of BA degree, 12+ years of experience supporting defense analytic requirements with nuclear engineering research.
Experience reviewing analytical products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support.
Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Willingness to take a polygraph exam.

Nice To Haves

TS/SCI with a current CI Poly
Knowledge of nuclear sub-disciplines like thermos-hydraulics, seismic events, physics, computational science, or fission reactor engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, engineering technologies, or a physical science field.
