About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs and processes rest and stress Cardiology scans. Performs quality control, and assists physicians in generating reports. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Nuclear Medicine Cardiology experience required.
  • Nuclear Medicine license and/or certification required.
  • Meets continuing education requirements required to maintain license.
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years nuclear cardiology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs camera quality controls according to manufactures recommendations including; daily floods, weekly bar phantom resolutions and center of rotations.
  • Responsible for handling laboratory & biohazard wastes.
  • Orders nuclear doses in appropriate quantities to accommodate the provider schedules and to avoid costly wastes.
  • Performs data acquisition process.
  • Positions camera in multiple manipulations as requested by the physicians or dictated by the studies.
  • Generates reports as required.
  • Assists physicians with displaying of data for interpretations.
