About The Position

We are seeking an experienced NSX Network Engineer to join our team. This hybrid role involves designing, implementing, and managing VMware NSX-T/NSX-V network virtualization solutions. You will be responsible for architecting micro-segmentation and zero-trust security, deploying various NSX components, leading migration efforts, and integrating NSX with other platforms. The role also requires strong troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration skills, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and support pre-sales activities.

Requirements

  • 8–15+ years of IT experience with strong NSX-T expertise
  • Hands-on experience with NSX (DFW, routing, VPN, LB, micro-segmentation)
  • Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN/Geneve)
  • Experience with VMware stack (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
  • Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience with data center networking (Leaf-Spine architecture)
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
  • VMware certifications (VCP-NV / VCAP / VCDX)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement VMware NSX-T / NSX-V network virtualization solutions
  • Architect micro-segmentation and zero-trust network security
  • Deploy logical switching, routing (Tier-0/Tier-1), DFW, NAT, VPN, and load balancing
  • Lead NSX migrations (NSX-V to NSX-T)
  • Integrate NSX with vSphere, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Troubleshoot complex network/security issues and perform RCA
  • Automate deployments using Python, PowerCLI, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and high availability
  • Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and support solution design/pre-sales (Architect level)
