As a member of the Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI) team you will lead a robust sourcing strategy to ensure all commercial, government and space customer requirements are met. You will be impacting new aerospace developments from development through entry into service You will directly interface with the supply base, Supply Chain Commodity Managers, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Engineering, Contracts/Legal, and Program Managers. This position is the owner of all supply chain/procurement responsibilities during the development program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations or related field
  • Strong collaboration skills demonstrated through experience working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to contribute effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions with attention to detail.
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Intern experience in NPI Procurement managing NPI programs
  • Project coordination / management experience
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Procurement practices.
  • Self-directed professional able to work without direct guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Supply Chain NPI responsibilities from target capture through entry into service.
  • Submit RFP’s, procure products from approved sources, PO management, and ensure on-time deliveries to support NPI customer schedules.
  • Negotiate price, lead-time, and mitigations to support development schedules.
  • Lead the NPI sourcing selection.
  • Responsible for the supplier relationship.
  • Manage and track bill of materials to achieve cost and schedule targets.
  • Review and submit design drawing packages to suppliers.
  • Initiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Statement of Work (SOW) to potential suppliers.
  • Engage early supplier involvement with design teams.
