About The Position

Keysight is seeking a recent graduate to join their team as an NPI Process Engineer. This role involves collaborating with global Manufacturing, R&D, and Marketing teams throughout the development of new test and measurement products, from conception to successful launch into production. The engineer will apply their academic knowledge to hands-on projects, including creating new product BOMs, building prototypes, identifying design for manufacturing improvements, developing assembly and manufacturing processes, and training manufacturing sites for new product production. The NPI Engineering team is multi-disciplinary and works on products such as Realtime Oscilloscopes, Probes, and Accessories, aiming to bring new products and technologies to market faster and more efficiently. The team fosters an open environment that supports employee development, mentorship, and high achievement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent degree.
Degree completion within the last 18 months or upcoming completion expected in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

Develop new manufacturing processes for new products or integrate new products into existing manufacturing processes.
Create innovative solutions to meet marketing requests or address system/manufacturing constraints.
Define product structure and develop the Manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM), implementing it in Oracle.
Drive, manage, and execute (hands-on) prototype builds, including material staging, assembly, and rework.
Define assembly processes for new products and create initial product assembly documentation (step-by-step procedures, flow charts, etc.).
Consult with manufacturing on tooling needs/requirements and best practices, leveraging insights into future products.
Influence product design decisions/tradeoffs to enable the most efficient use of existing processes.
Consult on packaging design.
Initiate requests for manufacturing part setup in Enovia.
Transfer processes to and train manufacturing sites (typically Malaysia), performing remotely and sometimes travelling.
Consult with Product Support on Service Center part setup and support processes.
Submit product classification requests and support Shipment Logistic requirements.
Drive Continuous Process Improvement by designing and implementing improvements to products, processes, materials, and documentation to enhance manufacturability, quality, and reliability.
Lead cross-functional teams in DFx reviews for NPIs, focusing on process, structure, supply chain, and manufacturability.
