About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will author, release, and continuously improve technical operation method sheets (OMS) and work instructions for electro‑mechanical assemblies. This role translates engineering design, BOMs, and quality requirements into safe, repeatable, and efficient build processes. It combines technical writing, process engineering, lean methods, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver right‑first‑time builds at scale. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills, including proactive problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain or engineering field is Plus
  • 3+ years of experience in in manufacturing, machining environment
  • Proficient with MS Office products & experience with ERP Systems
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • ERP experience is required, (SAGE ERP experience is plus)
  • Dependable, detail oriented, and a high level of personal and professional integrity
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, Blueprints and electrical Schematics
  • Read bill of materials and identify all components specified
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Create clear, step‑by‑step OMS/work instructions including sequence of operations, tools & consumables, torque values, visual aids, safety/ESD notes, CTQs/CTPs, inspection points, and acceptance criteria.
  • Incorporate fixtures, gauges, and error‑proofing requirements; reference drawings, schematics, and BOM revisions.
  • Support PFMEA creation/updates and control plans; link mitigations directly into OMS/work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 (as applicable), IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 for wire harnesses, ESD controls, torque tightening standards, and applicable industry norms.
  • Partner with Quality on first article builds, layered process audits, nonconformance root cause analysis, and CAPA execution.
  • Translate design into manufacturable steps; provide DFM/DFA feedback to Design Engineering early in lifecycle.
  • Drive ECR/ECO implementation to control documents and training.
  • Provide technical assistance and leadership to others as necessary
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Work with NPI and Production departments to ensure movement of work orders on schedule.
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
  • Other responsibilities related to projects or processes will be defined by the manager.
