About The Position

This position is for a New Product Development & Certification (NPD&C) Engineer within the aviation/aerospace industry. The role guides the successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services. The engineer selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues and is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field. They anticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. The approach to problem-solving balances technical product, cost, and schedule. The engineer works without appreciable direction, with their work reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results. They exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments and make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Additionally, they maintain current knowledge of developments in their field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of the company's product.

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering within the aviation/aerospace industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience with FAR Part 25 certification, including compliance planning, substantiation, and coordination with regulatory authorities.
  • Experience in aftermarket STC programs, including engineering design, certification support, and product development.
  • Strongly preferred experience with Gulfstream aircraft models, particularly in the context of modifications, upgrades, and certified product development.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred.
