About The Position

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for addiction treatment centers in the San Fernando Valley, CA. This role involves conducting telehealth visits and offers both full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) opportunities. The compensation is $80/hour, with a possible salary for full-time positions. Flexible hours are available.

Requirements

• Must possess current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License.
• DEA License.
• Strong skills to manage, coordinate, and evaluate the care and education of the patient.
• Trained to adhere to medications and therapies with protocols.
• Strong computer skills, telehealth capabilities.

Nice To Haves

• Addiction Treatment experience preferred, but not required.
• MAT Waiver Training completed to prescribe detox medications is preferred.
• Will consider new grads who are passionate about getting into addiction and psychiatry!

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' mental and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints.
• Documents patients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes.
• Writes prescriptions for psychotropic and detox medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
• Evaluates patients' behavior to formulate diagnoses or assess treatments.
