About The Position

The NP/PA Intern is an observation-only trainee role designed for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant students to gain exposure to a healthcare setting through supervised observation. The intern shadows licensed providers to observe patient-centered care, clinical workflows, and professional interactions without participating in direct patient care. This position emphasizes learning, collaboration, and understanding evidence-based practice within the scope of academic program requirements and organizational policies.

Requirements

• Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with Bowen Health’s core values of respect, integrity, mission and stewardship.
• In good academic standing with program approval for internship/rotation.
• NP/PA Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Successful completion of on-site orientation and signing of the required confidentiality agreement.

Responsibilities

• Shadow licensed providers to observe patient-centered care, clinical workflows, and professional interactions without participating in direct patient care.
• Emphasize learning, collaboration, and understanding evidence-based practice within the scope of academic program requirements and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism and deliver exceptional patient experience and customer service.
• Maintain professional boundaries with patients, colleagues, and others, ensuring respectful and appropriate interactions.
• Complete all administrative and clinical tasks by the assigned deadline, ensuring high-quality work.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Stay current on and adhere to company policies.
