About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider functions in collaborative practice with emergency medicine physicians in a high volume emergency department. This role autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and interventions according to approved protocols and scope of practice, and prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital admission. Requirements

  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Current Texas professional registered nurse license
  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license
  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Current Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • For Physician Assistants: Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • For Physician Assistants: Current Texas professional physician assistant license
  • For Physician Assistants: Certified as a PA-C
  • For Physician Assistants: Current Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • For Physician Assistants: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Nice To Haves

  • For Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred
  • For Physician Assistants: Minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred
