Established in 1989, our program has performed over 1,500 bone marrow transplants, including autologous, allogeneic related, and CAR T and Immune Effector Cell Therapy. As a National Marrow Donor Program/Be The Match transplant center since 2001, we are authorized to treat patients with all commercially available CAR-T cell products. Requirements

  • Master of Nursing Degree (NP).
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered (NP).
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA-C).
  • Bachelor's degree (PA-C).
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an NP/PA with a focus on malignant hematology, including Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and CAR T therapy.
  • CA RN License (NP).
  • Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License (NP).
  • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • PA-C License (PA-C).
  • National PA-C Certification (PA-C).
  • DEA License (schedule 2-5) (PA-C).
  • ACLS Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Independently seeing patients for follow-up.
  • Collaborate with attending physician as indicated.
  • Triage and manage patients’ symptoms secondary to their malignancy or treatment regimens.
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies with aspiration, IT chemotherapy administration, and Ommaya access.
  • Management of chemotherapy.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
