When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” About this role As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Total Joint Arthroplasty, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing compassionate care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work alongside a well-established group of two Total Joint Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgeons and three APPs managing patients in the clinic, the hospital, and as first assist in the operating room (OR) as needed. In this role, you will: Provide clinical care at Intermountain Health St. George Hospital and the Southwest Ortho Clinic Work full time (40 hours/week) Participate in a rotating call schedule shared with another APP, including: Treating post-operative patients in clinic First assist in the OR Rounding on hospital inpatients as needed Collaborate closely with physicians and care team members in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient care Targeted start date January 2027, with flexibility based on candidate availability and earlier start opportunities potentially available

Requirements

PA or NP degree from a fully accredited program
Clinical APP experience in orthopedics or other surgical subspecialities
New grads are welcome to apply, must successfully completed an orthopedic rotation
Active, unobstructed UT license, or the ability to obtain one
BLS certification and DEA
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
