About The Position
This opportunity with the Northern Nevada Medical Group (NNMG) is for an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate seeking a flexible per diem schedule and a collaborative medical group. The role offers the chance to live and work near Lake Tahoe, joining a team that values clinical excellence, mutual support, and a healthy work-life balance in one of the most desirable outdoor regions in the West. This is a Per Diem position with a minimum requirement of 4 shifts per month, specifically 2 pm-10 pm, on a flexible swing shift schedule with variable days. There is no call requirement, and patient volume varies. The work locations are Northern Nevada Medical Center and Sierra Medical Center. The team consists of a cohesive group of Hospitalists who support one another and communicate well, utilizing Cerner EMR technology.
Requirements
- Board Certified APRN or PA-C
- Minimum of one year experience out of training
- Active or eligible Nevada medical license

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supervising physician
- Perform clinical assessments within the scope of licensure
- Perform initial history and physical exams
- Document care using Cerner
- Care planning and reassessment
- Patient and family education and counseling regarding diagnostics, treatment plan, and medications
- Complete billing and query responses in a timely manner
