About The Position

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities. The Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner (EP NP) is an advanced practice provider responsible for the comprehensive management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology-related conditions across the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. The EP NP collaborates with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, patient education, and clinical follow-up. Responsibilities include ambulatory clinic management, inpatient consultations and rounding, stress testing, procedural support, device management, and program development to support quality outcomes and service line growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of electrophysiology experience
  • Minimum three years of stress testing experience
  • Minimum three years of cardiovascular nursing experience
  • Current California RN and NP licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Valid California License as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Valid Furnishing License
  • Board certification in area of specialty by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nursing Credentialing Center.
  • A current certification from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • A current certification from the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Malpractice Insurance Coverage as required by the Medical Staff Bylaws.
