This position is responsible for leading the PIDSA EMD North America sales, and distribution functions for assigned products in alignment with the goals and strategies of the PIDSA EMD management, the EMBD business units, EMBD global sales and marketing, and Panasonic Industrial Company. The role involves managing the North America sales and distribution team to increase sales and profitability for EMD products in North America while managing risk appropriately. It requires a focus on customer outcomes, close communication with factories to optimize operations, and negotiation with internal business units and channel partners. The position also involves closely managing financial results and performance metrics, creating and executing annual operational plans to achieve forecasts and objectives, and operating effectively in a complex organization by gaining the support of business unit leaders, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Collaboration with management, peers, marketing, colleagues, business units, and other stakeholders is essential. The role also assists R&D and Marketing with product management and the strategic introduction of new products. Furthermore, it involves creating and implementing a strategic plan for the North American channel strategy that aligns with and supports regional and global business objectives, and participating in the strategic planning process for appropriate EMBD business units. The position requires providing information on customers, markets, technology development, and business conditions, and representing Panasonic externally through industry events, organizations, and customer meetings. Corporate manager responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company policies and government laws, completing requisite training, exercising financial responsibility for expenses and budgets, and generating accurate and timely reports. Functional competence with required processes, systems, and software is necessary, as is representing Panasonic values professionally. The scope includes managing North America Sales activities, managing Business Unit distributors and other external business partners, creating and executing operational plans, managing expenses within budget, and providing timely reporting. Collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders and compliance with company policies and laws are also key aspects of the role.
