About The Position

The North America Major Correctives Project Management Leader is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and execution excellence of the Major Correctives Project Management organization. This role directly leads Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators responsible for delivering Major Component Upgrades (MCU), Blade Repairs, Blade Retrofits, Main Bearing Exchanges, Event-Driven Correctives, Catastrophic Failures, Liftra-enabled projects, and transactional service work across North America. The leader owns project execution strategy, customer satisfaction, financial performance, resource alignment, governance, and continuous improvement while ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery. This position serves as the primary link between Operations, Commercial, Field Execution, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Customers to ensure successful project outcomes and achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of Project management, field service or related experience).
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management, operations, field execution, or service leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Champion an uncompromising safety culture throughout the project management organization.
  • Ensure compliance with GE Vernova standards, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and prevailing wage obligations.
  • Drive quality ownership and corrective action management.
  • Lead response efforts for significant safety, quality, or execution events.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators across North America.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, development plans, succession planning, and talent pipelines.
  • Drive accountability for safety, quality, schedule adherence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating reviews with project leadership teams.
  • Provide escalation support and executive-level decision making for high-risk projects and customer issues.
  • Build a culture focused on operational excellence, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own execution performance across the Major Correctives project portfolio.
  • Ensure successful delivery of: Major Component Exchanges (Gearbox, Generator, Main Bearing, Rotor, Blade), Blade Repair and Retrofit Programs, Liftra LT1200 and LT1000 Projects, Event-Driven Correctives, Catastrophic Failure Recovery Projects, Transactional Service Work, Customer Availability Campaigns, Engineering Retrofits and Fleet Improvement Programs.
  • Establish portfolio priorities and resource allocation strategies.
  • Balance project demands against available labor, equipment, cranes, tooling, and contractor capacity.
  • Monitor project health through leading and lagging indicators.
  • Own strategic customer relationships associated with Major Correctives execution.
  • Serve as executive escalation point for customer concerns and project performance issues.
  • Lead customer operating reviews, execution reviews, and recovery plans.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication, transparency, and predictable execution.
  • Partner with Commercial and Account Management teams to support growth opportunities and customer retention.
  • Own portfolio-level revenue, margin, cost, cash flow, and forecasting performance.
  • Review and approve project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and recovery plans.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project profitability and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, and project closeout processes.
  • Establish and oversee performance management of contractors, crane providers, transportation vendors, labor suppliers, and specialty service providers.
  • Ensure vendor performance aligns with safety, quality, schedule, and commercial expectations.
  • Drive accountability through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and contractual compliance.
  • Support sourcing strategies that optimize cost, availability, and execution effectiveness.
  • Implement standardized project management processes across the Major Correctives organization.
  • Drive consistent use of project controls, scheduling tools, risk management processes, and reporting systems.
  • Establish governance mechanisms for project reviews, escalation management, and portfolio health monitoring.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on execution cycle time, customer experience, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.
  • Lead through influence and accountability.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Drive strategic thinking while maintaining operational rigor.
  • Foster collaboration across functional organizations.
  • Create a culture of ownership, transparency, and customer focus.
  • Deliver predictable business results through disciplined execution.
