About The Position

The Noon Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of students during lunchroom and/or playground activities. This role aims to minimize harmful incidents and communicate any observations or events that may impact the well-being of students and school personnel. This is a 2-hour daily, 10-month school year position.

Responsibilities

• Assists with duties assigned on the playground and in the cafeteria to ensure student needs are met.
• Assists students with tasks such as retrieving utensils, cleaning spills, and finding seats to ensure a safe, timely, and healthy mealtime experience.
• Assists in arranging food and beverage items, condiments, and utensils at the cafeteria counter and snack carts for student access.
• Reports misbehavior to teachers to provide information and ensure the safety and welfare of all students.
• Supervises students on the playground to enforce rules and intervene immediately when a child's safety is threatened.
• Assists other personnel as required to support their work activities.
